"Love is the recognition of oneness in the world of duality"
Eckhart Tolle
What a remarkable journey we've been on! In the last three months, we've travelled through the elements, nurturing the first four chakras – grounding ourselves with Earth at the Base Chakra, flowing with Water at the Sacral Chakra, igniting our passions with Fire at the Solar Plexus, and opening our hearts with Air at the Heart Chakra. We've also nurtured our Throat Chakra, unlocking our truth, and our Brow Center, or Third Eye, to rebuild the relationship with our Inner Wisdom. Now, it’s time to ascend to the Crown Chakra, the pinnacle of our spiritual adventure, as the focus of our practice in August.
I am particularly inspired to explore this intention within my community as I believe we are in a crucial moment in history where separation and righteousness are being perpetuated. Just look around and notice the lack of tolerance, the families and friendships that break bonds due to differences in points of view, or the violence we are normalising for our kids and teens.
I’ve always believed that our human nature is benevolent and kind, and even when the world sometimes shows something different, I do my best to live by these values and standards. I know we can turn things around quite easily by taking individual ownership and focusing on cultivating peace in our inner world.
A beautiful friend and mentor once said, “The problem is not that we are separate, the problem is that we believe we are.” Beliefs are simply thoughts that we have repeated over and over again until they become our reality, but we can change our thoughts and, thus, our beliefs.
Nurturing the Crown Chakra is a simple, yet profound way to cultivate the experience of Oneness and bring us back to the universal knowing that we are connected with everything and everyone in this beautiful web of life. So, let’s explore the Crown Chakra, the center of our Divinity.
The Gateway to Universal Consciousness
The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara, is beautifully positioned at the top of our head. Picture it as a radiant lotus blossoming with petals of violet or pure white light. This radiant light is a symbol of purity, enlightenment, and our connection to the Divine. It’s like a halo that connects us to the cosmos, reminding us of our place in the grand tapestry of the universe.
The Crown Chakra governs the brain, the nervous system, and the hypothalamus. It’s fascinating to consider that this chakra affects every fiber of our being, emphasizing how interconnected our physical, mental, and spiritual selves truly are. When we tap into this energy center, we align ourselves with universal consciousness, bringing harmony and balance to our entire being and with the world around us.
The Crown Chakra is our gateway to spiritual enlightenment and universal consciousness. It’s an invitation to be our own spiritual authority, guiding us beyond the ego and connecting us to infinite wisdom passed throughout the ages.
Oneness or Separation
When the Crown Chakra is balanced, life feels magical. We experience a profound sense of oneness with everyone and everything. There’s a deep knowing that life has a purpose, and everything happens for a reason. This chakra helps us live with gratitude, faith, and trust, replacing fear and anxiety with a serene sense of inner peace. We operate from the highest state of awareness, where every moment is a blessing, and every breath is a connection to the divine.
When our Crown Chakra is out of balance, we might feel disconnected or isolated, as if we’re separate from others and the world around us. This illusion of separation can lead to feelings of unworthiness, spiritual cynicism, or a preoccupation with materialism. It’s like being lost in a fog, unable to see the beauty and interconnectedness of life. But remember, this imbalance is an opportunity – a gentle nudge to realign with our true nature.
The Crown Chakra teaches us to let go of attachments to control and specific outcomes. It’s about trusting in the divine order of the universe. When we realize that we are part of the endless web of life, we begin to see the divine order in all things. We live with an open heart, embracing the mystery and beauty of existence. As we activate our Crown Chakra, we become magnets for others, drawing in higher frequency people and experiences.
The Four Levels of Consciousness
My mentor Peter Sage taught me through the Elite Mentorship Forum the model of the four levels of consciousness: To Me, By Me, Through Me, and As Me. These levels reflect how we perceive and interact with the world around us. Let’s look at a practical example to illustrate this.
Imagine someone accidentally hits your car, and thankfully, both parties are okay, but your car is quite damaged. These scenarios express the way we would respond according to the level of consciousness we live in:
- To Me: In this level, you might feel victimised and frustrated. "Why did this happen to me? It's so unfair!" The perception of separation creates judgement, righteousness, and conflict.
- By Me: Here, you take control of the situation. "I can handle this. I'll call the insurance company and get this sorted." In By Me, we let go of blame but pretend to control everything, even things that are not in our hands to control, making the experience of life stressful and restricted.
- Through Me: At this stage, you let go of control and see the situation as part of a greater flow. "This is an opportunity to practice patience and compassion. Maybe this person needs my kindness right now." You begin to see yourself as a conduit for higher intentions.
- As Me: In the highest state of awareness, you see the incident as a reflection of the divine play. "This accident happened to US. Once you know that you are OK, you check that the other person is also unharmed. You know that this experience is part of the universal dance of life." There’s no separation, only unity and oneness.
Living in the Crown Chakra helps us to reside more in the "As Me" level of consciousness. We see the interconnectedness of all things and understand that every experience, even challenging ones, has a purpose in our spiritual journey.
I hope this blog has brought some hope and a lot of inspiration to take care of your Inner World.
If you want to explore this a little deeper, I warmly invite you to join our Dru Yoga Classes this month, where we’ll deepen our connection with the Crown Chakra and elevate our spiritual practice. And if you’re looking for an even more immersive experience, consider joining our Seeds of Intentions Retreat during the Spring Equinox in September. It’s a beautiful opportunity to create a vision of your life that is authentic to you so that, with your unique essence, you can spark joy, inspiration, and hope to the world around you.
Let’s come together to embrace our divine nature and celebrate the infinite possibilities for us all. Here’s to a month of enlightenment, connection, and devotion to life.
Namaste!
